A current alternative to investigate
Frigidaire’s US catalogue lists Gallery GDSP4715AF with a stainless steel tub, third-level rack and a declared 47 dBA rating. CleanBoost premixes detergent and water, while MaxBoost Dry uses heat and a fan. These are manufacturer-described systems, not our own test results.
The same page shows GDSP4735AF as an upgrade with a 45 dBA rating and Adaptive Quick Wash. Compare it separately before deciding whether the changes justify the installed cost. We would not count two finishes of the same machine as separate recommendations.
Why the old model number matters
US pages for GDPH4515AF and GDPH4525AF are marked discontinued. The latter can still appear as a normal Canadian product. A Canadian listing does not establish that the corresponding US product remains in the current range.
For remaining retailer stock, ask about condition, warranty eligibility, included parts and returns. It may be reasonable at the right total cost, but compare it explicitly as remaining stock. Do not describe GDSP4715AF as a guaranteed one-for-one replacement without checking installation dimensions.
What deserves a showroom check?
Inspect how utensils sit in the top tray and how tall items fit after adjusting the other rack. Evaluate a fast wash program alongside the full drying routine; the headline wash time should not be assumed to include every drying option.
Ask the installer to check the door-open footprint as well as the cabinet opening. A finished front looking flush in a photograph can still need clearance around neighboring handles. Confirm supply and electrical arrangements from the installation instructions.
Compare current Gallery models when their features and total quote suit the load. We do not treat a premix system, brand badge or retailer star average as proof of superior cleaning. Strong reasons to choose one are a workable layout, the drying functions you want and accessible service. Also confirm that an online order contains the exact handle and finish shown in the final quote; a family photograph can illustrate several variants.
