Two sizes with different uses
OXO’s Good Grips Prep Cutting Board is a documented dishwasher-safe option for smaller preparation tasks. The larger Good Grips Carving & Cutting Board also carries that care claim, but its greater footprint makes rack clearance especially important.
Choose the smaller format if regular washing and storage are the priority. Choose a larger board when your food preparation needs the surface area and you have verified that it can fit without obstructing spray or preventing the door from closing. These are fit-based recommendations, not a comparative durability test.
Inspect the shape, not just the width
Check thickness, feet and handles as well as the cutting surface. A board with a raised rim may sit differently in the tines. Place it so both dirty surfaces can receive water and it cannot trap a small item behind it.
Do not use a board as a wall across the rack. If the only way it fits blocks a spray arm or the detergent dispenser, wash it by the manufacturer’s alternative method.
Keep the board serviceable
Inspect cutting surfaces and nonslip parts regularly. Follow the maker’s instructions for staining, odor and replacement; machine washing does not restore a damaged board. Do not assume a wood, bamboo or composite board has the same care directions as a polypropylene one.
A useful two-board routine is to buy sizes you can actually clean and store, rather than the largest set available. Verify each board’s care statement because similar-looking products can use different materials.
