What to compare
Finish Jet-Dry is a widely documented rinse-aid option, including in Bosch’s drying guidance. A fragrance or ingredient preference may lead you to another compatible product, but the important buying checks are the exact formulation, bottle size and appliance instructions.
Compare cost per refill only as a rough shopping aid: the actual number of loads depends on the dispenser setting. A large bottle is not better value if you cannot store or pour it conveniently without spills.
Set the dispenser deliberately
Bosch describes rinse aid as lowering water’s surface tension. That supports its drying role; it does not make it a detergent, disinfectant or water-softener substitute. Fill only the designated reservoir and wipe away spills.
If you see streaks or persistent spotting, use the adjustment procedure in your model’s manual. Change one setting at a time and observe a representative load. Too much and too little can produce different symptoms, so setting the dispenser to maximum is not the automatic answer.
Know the exceptions
Some compact dishwashers do not have a rinse-aid reservoir or do not permit separate rinse aid. Never pour it into the tub simply because a full-size machine uses it. An all-in-one detergent also does not override your appliance’s instructions.
If drying remains poor after loading and rinse-aid checks, verify the selected cycle and dry option. Puddles in a cup base or container rim may be a placement problem rather than a product problem.
