Confirm what the cycle includes
Some quick or specialty programs do not use the machine’s fullest drying stage. Check whether heated drying, extra drying or automatic door opening is enabled for the chosen cycle. Let the program complete rather than interrupting it as soon as washing stops.
For a door-opening system, keep the required clearance and check the manual if the door does not release. Do not force or alter the mechanism.
Check rinse aid and item shape
Use the designated rinse-aid reservoir if the machine has one and the manual calls for it. Adjust the setting through the manufacturer’s procedure. Do not pour rinse aid into a compact machine that does not support it.
Tilt suitable containers and cups so water can drain. Separate lids, avoid nesting and remove items from the lower rack first. Recessed bases may still hold a small puddle even when the broader drying system is functioning.
Separate expectations from a fault
If ceramic dishes dry but light plastics retain moisture, compare the result with the machine’s drying design and options. If the entire load suddenly stops drying as before, note any changed settings, refill needs or error messages.
A persistent change after routine checks is a reason to contact service. Do not reach for exposed wiring or heating components. Give the technician the cycle name and whether the problem affects all materials or only particular items.
