Start with the connection
COMFEE CDC17P0ABB and the US HAVA R01 are tank-equipped examples. Danby DDW631SDB is a faucet-connected alternative. These represent different compromises, not three interchangeable boxes: the first two prioritize compact placement; the Danby offers a manufacturer-rated six-place-setting layout. A tank still needs filling, a safe drain route and a suitable outlet.
Before ordering, measure the counter from front to backsplash and from counter to the underside of the cabinets. Include room to fill a top-mounted tank and open the door. Check that the counter can support the loaded appliance. A model fitting physically under a cabinet may still be awkward to refill.
Which option suits your routine?
Start with the Danby DDW631SDB if you have a compatible faucet and want to wash more ordinary tableware in one batch. Consider the COMFEE CDC17P0ABB for especially limited counter space. Consider the US HAVA R01 when manual filling and a transparent door appeal. These choices weigh the documented features against different kitchen needs.
Do not translate a manufacturer’s household-size description into guaranteed capacity. Measure your largest dinner plate and check the rack diagram. A large bowl, pan or reusable bottle can consume much of a compact rack.
Before the first wash
- Confirm the exact US electrical variant; HAVA lists separate US and EU/UK versions.
- Check the included inlet hose, drain hose and faucet adapter against your setup. Pull-out and specialty faucets may not accept a standard adapter.
- Secure the drain outlet as the manual requires. A loose hose can move when the pump starts.
- Read the detergent directions for the compact machine. Do not assume it has a rinse-aid dispenser.
- Keep the original packaging until you have checked fit, leaks and delivery damage.
